William Voegeli is a senior editor of the Claremont Review of Books, a visiting scholar at Claremont McKenna College’s Henry Salvatori Center, and the author of Never Enough: America’s Limitless Welfare State (Encounter, 2010). His work has appeared in the Christian Science MonitorCity JournalCommentary, First Things, the Los Angeles TimesNational Review, the New Criterion, and the Weekly Standard. After receiving a doctorate in political science from Loyola University in Chicago he was a program officer for the John M. Olin Foundation.
