
On Saturday, March 22, 2025, our very own Allen C. Guelzo was recognized at the 28th Annual Abraham Lincoln Institute Symposium in Ford's Theatre, Washington, D.C. for winning the institute's annual book prize. Dr. Guelzo received the prize for his 2024 book, Our Ancient Faith: Lincoln, Democracy, and the American Experiment.
Dr. Guelzo is Thomas W. Smith Distinguished Research Scholar and Director of the Initiative on Politics and Statesmanship at the Madison Program. He has won the Abraham Lincoln Institute's book prize three times previously: in 2000 (Redeemer President), 2005 (Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation: The End of Slavery in America), and 2008 (Lincoln and Douglas: The Debates That Defined America).
